Arlee Bird - Thank you so much for this wonderful blog hop and the opportunity to make new friends.
Authors
My step-daughter at a book signing with Brandon Sanderson.
We are either authors, up and coming authors or people who love to read authors.
I'm in the wanna be category at this time in my life. I have several short stories that I've written. I have ventured into Nano land several times and while I have plenty of words written I've never finished a novel. Yet.
I love reading. I enjoy Robert Jordan, Juliet Marlier, Stephen King and Terry Goodkind to name a few.
I mostly read fantasy, but will read other genres when a bloggy friend has a book.
How about you?
Where are you at in you author status?
Who do you like to read?
sweet start to the challenge!
ReplyDeletenice to meet another author to be
my first novel comes out this summer =)
YaY!!Congrats on the summer release!
DeleteI'm just an author. With two books and everything. Don't worry, you'll get there and it will be a fun ride to look back on.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the challenge. =)
It is good to meet others who have made it.
DeleteHmmmm...where am I at? I think I'm at the Need-To-Just-Finish-the-Dang-Book-Already-So-I-Can-Get-It-Submitted-Finally stage.
ReplyDeleteAnd I love to read fantasy, too.
Good luck with the blogging challenge!
ahahaha me too! Great to meet you. We'll get there.
DeleteWorking on 2nd novel. If you write, you are a writer! Happy first day of A-Z.
ReplyDeleteThat's true. I never thought of it that way.
DeleteI love authors. Great first post.
ReplyDeleteThanks.
DeleteI am in the wanne be author category too. Though I have an agent, I am not very successful writing wise, yet. I hope to one day be a successfully published author, but until then, I will just keep on trying. But I am sure you are doing just fine. For me, writing a short story is the hardest thing to do.
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome that you have an agent. You'll get there.
DeleteOne day I too will be an author......
ReplyDeleteDoes writing a blog make me an author?
I love meeting authors, I was starstruck when I met Khaled Hosseini, author of The Kite Runner!
I like to read just about anything, right now I'm into mysteries.

Hi Jai. Great start to a-z!! I'm still working on my YA novel but oh so close to being done. Read Libba Bray's Gemma Doyle trilogy recently--she writes in my tense and I love her YA voice. Have read a lot of Orson Scott Card's books too--he's an awesome sci-fi writer. Oh--and I see The Kite Runner above-loved it...too many to mention...I could go on and on...sigh.
ReplyDeleteJust popping in from the A-Z List :)
ReplyDeleteI'm a wannabe author too!
Good luck with the challenge honey xx
Oh how I love authors! :) And Brandon Sanderson is a fantastic one! Awesome kick-off to the challenge.

I totally love authors, even wanna be authors, maybe even especially wanna be authors. I hang out with lots of them at all different stages. The perfect word to start the challenge with, I dare say!
ReplyDeleteI love to read everything except textbooks... and someday I will be wanna be author.
ReplyDeleteI'm an omnivore when it comes to books. I've had a dozen or so short stories pubbed in anthologies, but am yet to author a book.
ReplyDeleteLook forward to the rest of your challenge posts!
